2-year-old injured after being struck by car on U.S. 2

STARTUP — A 2-year-old boy was taken to Valley General Hospital in Monroe with minor injuries after he was hit by a 1989 Toyota Corolla driven by a 27-year-old Skykomish man early Sunday evening. The accident occurred on U.S. 2 near 363rd Avenue, just after 5:30 p.m., the State Patrol reported. The driver was not hurt in the accident.
