PATRIOTS: New England has set another standard during their thus-far perfect season: Biggest favorite in a road game.
The Patriots (11-0) are 20-point favorites at Baltimore (4-7). The previous high was 17 points, set in 1976 with Dallas over Seattle; the Baltimore Colts over the New York Jets; and Patriots over Tampa Bay, according to World Features Syndicate, which publishes the Glantz-Culver line.
Last week, the Patriots were a 22-point pick over Philadelphia at Foxborough, Mass., but won only 31-28.
PANTHERS: Quarterback Vinny Testaverde practiced for a second straight day and remained in line to start for the Carolina Panthers against San Francisco. The 44-year-old Testaverde missed last Sunday’s loss to New Orleans after his back stiffened a day earlier.
COLTS: Linebacker Tyjuan Hagler was cleared to resume a full practice schedule and could be back in the lineup for Indianapolis’ game with Jacksonville.
VIKINGS: Minnesota wide receiver Troy Williamson missed practice with headaches stemming from a concussion he sustained against the New York Giants last week. Running back Adrian Peterson again split time with Chester Taylor in practice and said he is still getting used to wearing a brace to protect his right knee. Peterson tore the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee three weeks ago at Green Bay. Peterson figures to rejoin the team on Sunday against the Lions, though no official announcement has been made yet.
CHIEFS: Quarterback Brodie Croyle missed practice for the second straight day because of a sore back and his availability for Kansas City’s game against San Diego was uncertain. If Croyle can’t practice today, coach Herm Edwards said Damon Huard will start against the Chargers.
DOLPHINS: Running back Ricky Williams underwent surgery to repair a season-ending injury to his right pectoral muscle.
RAMS: Quarterback Marc Bulger failed medical tests and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against Atlanta. Bulger sustained a concussion in Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
RAIDERS: Quarterback Daunte Culpepper was limited in practice due to a sore quadriceps muscle, but is expected to play this weekend against Denver.
STEELERS: Fullback Dan Kreider was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury.

BILLS: Running back Anthony Thomas is out indefinitely with a torn calf muscle. Rookie starter Marshawn Lynch is still recovering from a sprained left ankle and expected to miss his third straight game this weekend.
