MILL CREEK — Kamiak relied on its depth to defeat host Jackson 112-60 in a Wesco South boys swim meet Thursday at Mill Creek Pool.
“First yard meet of the season,” Kamiak head coach Kris Erickson said of his team, which improved to 2-0 overall. “We were excited to get out there.”
Kamiak swam meters in its win at Oak Harbor Tuesday.
Jackson’s Jimmy Rogers posted state meet-qualifying times of two minutes, 1.83 seconds in the 200-yard individual medley and 56.87 in the 100 backstroke, but Jackson did not win a race in which Rogers did not compete.
“Right now, he (Rogers) is unbeatable,” Erickson said. “He won his races and we took care of the rest.”
Kamiak’s Rayan Carter won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.25, barely missing a state qualifying time.
In team events, Kamiak took the 200 medley relay while Jackson took the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
