Concerts
First Church of the Nazarene plans to present the Christmas cantata “Celebrate the Child.”
The free concert is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the church, 2502 Lombard Ave., Everett.

First Christian Reformed Church plans to present “The Night of Miracles,” a Christmas cantata sung by the church choir.
The presentation is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at the church, 1429 McDougall Ave., Everett.
Festivals
Faith Heritage Church presents its annual Christmas Winter Rhapsody from noon to 5 p.m. today at Voyager Middle School, 11711 Fourth Ave. W., Everett. Puget Sound Blood Center representatives will be on hand to help with blood donations, and offerings for the Everett Food Bank will be accepted.
The free event includes a toy distribution for kids, raffles for teens and families, door prizes, gift baskets, photos with Santa, haircuts, health screenings and entertainment.

CLASSES
Everett First Presbyterian Church presents a special class called “Matthew’s R-Rated Version of Advent.”
The study is billed as a “shockingly accurate” account of Advent, not a children’s story, but a story for adults that is intended to awaken the mind to the character of the Gospel.
The age of all participants will be verified at the door.
The class meets from 11:20 a.m. to 12:14 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 and 23 at Everett First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.

Chabad Jewish Center of Snohomish County continues its course on the mystical view of human nature, titled “Ten Steps to the Inner You.”
The 11-week winter semester of Wednesday Night Kabbalah continues at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chabad Jewish Center, 19 W. Intercity Ave., Everett. The class is open to adults; teenagers are welcome at parents’ discretion. The class is free; no registration is required.

Creating Public Rituals continues through the Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
A Dec. 21 class will feature the Winter Solstice Ritual. The class will include basic ritual elements, energy flow and performance skills for ritual leaders.
Instructor fee is $35.
Students will work together to design and lead the annual Winter Solstice Festival at Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1607 Fourth St., Marysville.

WOMEN’S EVENTs
Registration is now open for the next two series of the Christian-based “Learn to Let Go and Grow” workshops that will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday or Thursdays beginning Jan. 8 and 10 at the Old Snohomish Library, 105 Cedar Ave., Snohomish. Each of the evenings will feature a different series. Members select one seven-week series.
Workshops are open to all women who register in advance. They will be taught by motivational speaker and registered counselor Kitty Jones.
