Free health fair at EvCC Thursday

Everett Community College plans a free Health and Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in EvCC’s Parks Student Union, 2000 Tower St. in Everett.

Find information from Team Fitness, Positive Women’s Network, Smokey Point Chiropractic and other community health resources, plus EvCC’s nursing, medical assisting and physical education departments.

Sheriff’s detective has Web warnings

Learn about the dangers of posting personal information on Web sites such as Myspace.com during a class planned by the Island County Sheriff’s Office at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Camano Community and Senior Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.

During the class, Island County sheriff’s detective Ed Wallace plans to show how easy it is to find information on people, even from seemingly harmless details.

Corrections worker reunion planned

The Department of Corrections in Olympia offers its first reunion for all former and retired DOC employees.

Individuals previously employed by DOC who are interested in attending the reunion may call the superintendent of Cedar Creek Corrections Center, Hisami Yoshida, by March 16 with names and current mailing addresses.
