Web site designer shares his secrets

Join the Snohomish County Public Information Network meeting at 8 a.m. Friday at the Everett PUD Commission room, 2320 California St., Everett, to hear Jeremy Bertrand, a Web developer for the state Department of Transportation.

The department’s Web site received more than a million hits last year. Bertrand’s topic is Leading with the Web, and he will discuss how to use the Internet to spread information.

Business owners might be interested in attending, said Connie Lewis with the Department of Transportation, particularly smaller businesses that maintain their own Web sites. She said Bertrand handles Web pages that travelers depend on during snowstorms and avalanches.
