LAST SEASON
4th place in Wesco South (5-3, 7-5)
RETURNING STARTERS:
Offense 7; Defense 7
LOOK AHEAD
The Mavericks join the newly created Wesco 3A division after going 5-3 in a tough Wesco South last season, before losing to eventual 2007 state runner-up O’Dea 42-7 in the state quarterfinals. They return a number of skill position players and should be the team to beat in the Wesco 3A division if they can receive consistent play from their offensive and defensive lines.

COACH’S Comment
“We’re pretty good skill-wise. If we can get some things going up front, run the ball, stop the run, and then those skill guys will make that many more plays. I guess everybody would say we’re the team to beat.”
Mark Stewart,
9th season
