The Snohomish County Museum and Historical Association was gathering at the museum building in Legion Hall for a short business meeting and a program headed by Dr. M.M. Stocker. Stocker would give a lecture on the Civil War period dealing with the Battle of Gettysburg. Along with his historical information he would show colored slides of the battlefield.
Three Everett High School Seagulls were named to the All-Western Conference squad. They were center Mike Mahoney and guards Tom Gish and Eddie Brown. Norm Lowery was the basketball coach.

Jim Ibea of Marysville, a Western Washington University student, began his student teaching in mathematics this week at Mount Vernon High School — the same school where his father, Dave, a math teacher at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, did his student teaching.
Jackie Beck of Darrington, president of the Home Economics Alumni Association of Washington State University, was to preside over a luncheon at Sherwood Inn in Tacoma as part of the organization’s daylong forum workshop, High Torch in a High Tech Society.
