Congratulations to photographer

It’s been amusing to read all the whining about The Herald printing that outstanding photograph of an eagle doing what comes naturally. Unfortunately, there appears to be too many people around who think nature “just exists” and doesn’t need to feed or protect itself. It seems that some people would be surprised to learn their hamburger doesn’t grow in plastic wraps out in green meadows.
Yes, the photo depicts a harsh reality, but it is also a great nature photograph — thank you for displaying it in your paper. And, congratulations to the photographer. I’d guess that he took 20-40 exposures to get that perfect photograph. He both captured and created a work of art and a great piece of commercial property. As a bonus, he didn’t harass a protected species — the eagle.
