PREP SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Unbeaten Marysville-Pilchuck shuts out Arlington, 10-0

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks just continue to go about their business.
Having already secured a Wesco North 4A District 1 playoff berth and leading the division by half a game over Lake Stevens, Marysville-Pilchuck keeps winning.
Friday night Arlington found out the hard way, getting shutout 10-0 in five innings.
“It was a tense game thru the first three innings with each team getting runners on,” said M-P head coach KT Allyn. “Then in the fourth we put together six hits and Arlington had their two errors which just opened things up. It makes a difference when you get your hits back-to-back.”
It also helps when 10 consecutive batters reach base as they did in the fourth inning for the Tomahawks, who plated 10 in the frame.
Jen Rosie allowed just three hits and struck out eight in earning the shutout.
