Marine Area 7 chinook action has slowed a little from a hot start, but is still pretty decent. Some large fish are being taken as well, according to Anthon Steen at Holiday Sports in Burlington, with 28 and 34-pounders boated recently. Better spots currently include Eagle Point on the west side of San Juan Island; Obstruction Pass, Tide Point/Eagle Bluff and Point Lawrence.
