It’s not called ‘Humpy Hollow’ for nothing

My friend O’Claire took his boat out at mid-morning on Sunday and landed 11 pink salmon in just a couple hours in the Humpy Hollow area north of Mukilteo.

It was during low tide, and he said he saw a lot of humpies and experienced “crazy good fishing”.

I mention it because I’ve usually looked for fish during a tide change, mostly during the last couple hours or high tide, looking for tide rips and fish following bait..

He said he was able to find a lot more fish at the low time, so don’t discount a low.

There are a lot of commercial fisherman in that area as I write this today (Monday) and that will definitely lower the numbers. But I thought that was good information.
