MARYSVILLE — Jackson produced a convincing cross country win by both its girls and boys teams Wednesday at Strawberry Fields in Marysville.

Jackson boys took five of the top-10 spots while the girls took three of the top five. Marysville Getchell coach Randy Edens noted that Jackson is tunin

g up for the Stanford Invitational this weekend and their runners did a good job of grouping up on the course.

On the boys side, Lake Steven’s Mason Nicol and Scott Schmitt took the first and second spots, helping their team to second place and showing they could compete with the established Jackson runners.

For the girls, Marysville Getchell’s Rachael Lefstad took the top spot, contributing to her team’s second place.
