Prep boys swimming: Kentridge Invite

FEDERAL WAY — The Kamiak boys swim team placed fifth at Saturday’s Kentridge Invite, a 36-team event at King County Aquatics Center, and Liam Sosinsky had the only first-place finish of any local swimmer for the Knights in the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:00.66. His teammate John Stupey placed second in both the 100 butterfly (53.17) and 200 freestyle (1:47.89). Kamiak diver Sean Mulvihill placed fourth with a score of 203.40.

Cascade’s AJ Jenkins followed Stupey in the 200 freestyle race with a time of 1:48.69 for third place and finished fourth in the 100 butterfly, .51 seconds behind Stupey at 53.68.

Carter Osborne, swimming for a Shorecrest team that placed 16th, finished ninth in the 100 freestyle (49.86) and tenth in the 50 freestyle (22.84).
