New music from Snohomish’s Bradford Loomis

Marysville native and Snohomish resident Bradford Loomis will release his latest record “Into The Great Unknown” tomorrow. I can’t stop listening to it. Every time I put on this new Loomis record I feel like I’m taking a walk through the Bible belt during the days of slavery and the beautiful sound is uplifting in a heartbreaking kind of way (if that makes any sense).

Bradford is booked solid this weekend for the release of the new record with a show Friday at Café Mela in Wenatchee, Saturday at the Tim Noah Thumb Nail Theater in Snohomish and Sunday at the High Dive in Seattle. So you could say he’s kind of a popular guy right now.

Tickets for the Snohomish show tomorrow night can be purchased here for $12 or $15 at the door. The show is all ages and doors are at 7 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. performance from local singer Beth Whitney, who is pretty darn great herself.

Here is a video of Bradford performing “End of This Chain” which is probably my favorite track on the new record.
