Two new series created by actor-writer-director-female impersonator Tyler Perry debut this week on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
And thus Winfrey achieves yet another unique career distinction: She’s the only television network executive who would fit nicely in one of Perry’s Madea dresses.
A woman’s work …: Women are now the primary breadwinner in 40 percent of U.S. households, according to a study by the Pew Research Center.
Of those households, about 60 percent are led by single moms, 40 percent by married women who earn more than their spouses, and way, way too many by women who work full-time, do all the cooking, most of the cleaning, and help the kids with their homework.
Mistakes were made: On Tuesday in this space, The Buzz stated that Elvis Presley’s fried peanut butter and banana sandwich also contains bacon. In fact, it appears that The King generally did not put bacon in his favorite sandwich. The Buzz regrets the error.
We also tried this sandwich, and we regret that, too.
