Carnivores: March is carnivore month at the Northwest Stream Center. The topics are: Lynx and snowshoe hare, March 12; martens, March 19; and cougars, March 26. Birds: Pilchuck Audubon Society meets at 7 p.m. on March 13 at the Everett Firefighter’s Hall, 2411 Hewitt Avenue, Everett. Watercolor artist and photographer Craig Johnson and his wife, writer Joy Johnson, will present a film on what can happen when native habitat is allowed to flourish, even in a small space such as a suburban backyard. Movie: See “Green Fire,” a film created as a tribute to conservationist Aldo Leopold that highlights his career and influences on the environmental movement, at 7 p.m. March 18 at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano Drive; www.camanowildlifehabitat.org.

Education: Everett Community College’s Ocean Research College Academy will host a program information session at 6 p.m. March 19 at its recently expanded waterfront location, 1205 Craftsman Way, Suite 203, in Everett. Visitors and prospective students can see student work, meet faculty members, learn about the program and see the facility, including the oceanography research lab and 120-gallon seawater tank.
