Tuesday’s prep basketball stars

Here are some of the standout performers from Tuesday night’s high school basketball action:

BOYS

Brennon Wiersma, Arlington. The Eagles senior made a 2-pointer at the buzzer to give Arlington a 60-58 win over Oak Harbor. Wiersma finished with 12 for the Eagles in the contest.

Ryder Kavanagh and Dante Lewis, Lake Stevens. Kavanagh, a sophomore, made a 3-pointer to send the Vikings’ Wesco 4A game against Snohomish to overtime and Lewis, a senior, led all scorers with 17 points to lead Lake Stevens to the victory.

Carson Tuttle, Kamiak. Tuttle, a sophomore, had a team-high 21 points to lead Kamiak to a Wesco 4A victory over Jackson. The win keeps the Knights a perfect 6-0 in league.

Trenton Newhouse, Monroe. Newhouse, a junior captain, had 27 points for the Bearcats in Monroe’s 66-56 Wesco 4A win over Mount Vernon.

Cole Mitchell, King’s. Mitchell, a senior, netted 21 points for the Knights as King’s picked up a big 78-36 Cascade Conference win against Sultan.

Robert Cha, Cedarcrest. Cha, a senior, scored 27 points for the Red Wolves in their 68-55 Cascade Conference victory over Lakewood.

GIRLS

Natalie Neer, Lakewood. Neer, a junior, had a game-high 21 points for the Cougars to lead Lakewood to a 62-41 Cascade Conference victory over Cedarcrest.

Maddie Hill, Archbishop Murphy. Hill, sophomore, was the leading scorer for the Wildcats with 14 points in Archbishop Murphy’s 58-26 Cascade Conference win over South Whidbey.

Anna Parker, King’s. Parker, senior, scored a game-high 16 points for King’s, which defeated Sultan 54-27 in a Cascade Conference game.
