Cameron McGrath

Cascade | Boys Basketball

McGrath, a senior, scored 28 points and made seven 3-pointers in the Bruins’ 68-49 victory over Mariner in the semifinals of the 4A District 1 Tournament. The Bruins will face Kamiak in Thursday’s district championship. The Knights are the only team to beat the Bruins this season.

Kylee Griffen

Lake Stevens | Girls Basketball

Griffen, a sophomore, scored 26 points in a win over Mariner in the first round of the 4A District 1 Tournament and had 17 points and 17 rebounds in a 46-39 win over Monroe in the semifinals on Saturday. The Vikings will play Snohomish in Thursday’s district championship.

Ruben &Azariah Crew

Arlington | Wrestling

The seniors both win regional championships this past weekend, Azariah at 160 pounds and Ruben at 170 pounds. Ruben is ranked No. 1 in the state in his weight class and Azariah is ranked No. 2 behind Edmonds-Woodway’s Mason McDaniel, who he beat for the championship on Saturday.

Jackson | Boys Swmiming

Cook, a senior, picked up wins in the 200 individual medley and the 100 breastroke at last weekend’s Wesco 4A tournament. Cook beat Kamiak’s Henry Limm in the 200 IM final. Both swimmers are expected to be among the favorites in that event at the state championship this weekend.
