Tuesday’s prep basketball stars

The standout performers from Tuesday night’s high school basketball action:

BOYS

Josh Bevan, Marysville Pilchuck. Bevan, a senior, scored 30 points in his final high school game. The Tomahawks lost to Shorewood 60-56 in a loser-out game in the 3A District Tournament.

Sam Saufferer, Jackson. Saufferer, a senior, scored 30 points as Jackson edged Lake Stevens in a 4A District loser-out game. Saufferer and the Timberwolves move on to play Mariner on Thursday.

GIRLS

Salome Yosef, Cedar Park Christian-Mountlake Terrace. Yosef had 15 points, 16 rebounds and eight blocked shots in a 54-50 overtime loss to Mount Rainier Lutheran in the 1B Tri-District Tournament. CPC-Terrace played the bulk of the overtime with four players after five players fouled out.
