Seattle artist Chris Staples just teased his new album and it is sounding way too good. The album “Golden Age” is due out Aug. 19 on Barsuk Records and is the follow up to Staples’ 2014 album “American Soft.”
The lead single “Relatively Permanent” premiered this week on NPR’s All Songs Considered and it is about to get this guy all kinds of the right attention.
Now do these things in this order:
First, listen to “Relatively Permanent” below that way you trust me when you get to the next step.
Second, buy the last Chris Staples record American Soft. It’s incredible and it will hold you over till Golden Age is released.
Last, go buy tickets to celebrate the release of Golden Age with a Chris Staples performance aboard the Steamship Virginia V. That’s right, this dude is having his release party ON. A. BOAT. Don’t ask questions, just accept that this is happening and go enjoy yourself.
