Everett losing craft beer festival to the Tri-Cities

After five years, the Everett Craft Beer Festival is in effect moving across the state.
The Washington Beer Commission released its 2017 festival schedule last week and announced the creation of a Tri-Cities Craft Beer Festival in April and the move of the Collaboration Festival from April to August. The commission said that the Everett Craft Beer Festival, which was usually scheduled for mid-August, was put on hiatus.
“We had five great years in Everett and are excited to share craft beer with a new audience and grow the love for beer around the state,” said a commission spokesman via Twitter.
This week’s Belgianfest kicks off the commission’s festival schedule, with the Washington Brewers Festival slated for Feb. 23 and the Bremerton Summer Brewfest May 4.
No word on if or when the festival could return in the future.
