Last prep basketball regionals finalized as road to state begins

Several local Class 3A basketball teams were awaiting the results of state play-in games Tuesday to find out their opponent for this weekend’s state regional round.

With those play-in games completed, all pairings for the state regionals have been finalized.

The No. 10 seed Shorecrest boys (21-2) will face No. 15 seed Edmonds-Woodway (18-5) in a loser-out regional game at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bothell High School. It will be a rematch of Shorecrest’s 68-67 Wesco 3A win over visiting Edmonds-Woodway on Jan. 19.

The No. 10 seed Lynnwood girls (19-4) will play No. 15 seed Mt. Spokane (19-5) in a loser-out regional contest at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bothell High School.

The No. 14 seed Edmonds-Woodway girls (16-7) will face No. 11 seed West Seattle (19-4) in a loser-out regional game at noon Saturday at Bellevue College.

All other regional matchups involving local teams were announced Sunday.
