Hops and Props: Celebrate some of the best craft beers in the state and support the Museum of Flight at the same time during the Hops and Props event from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 25 at the museum, 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle. More than 70 breweries and cideries will be pouring at the event, including gluten-free beer. Tickets are $95 ($80 for members) and VIP tickets are $130. The Independent celebrates anniversary: Everett’s The Independent Beer Bar is hosting a We Made It a Year party from 7 to 9 p.m. March 2. Snohomish’s Sound to Summit Brewing will help them celebrate with a brewers event and the bar will tap a special release of The Lost Abbey’s Deliverance stout. Snohomish Wine Festival: The eighth annual Snohomish Wine Festival is March 4 at the Snohomish Events Center, 1011 Second St. There will be two sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The festival will showcase 20 wineries, cideries, breweries and even coffee. Whitewall Brewing anniversary party: Marysville’s Whitewall Brewing Co. is hosting its third anniversary party from noon to 9 p.m. March 4 at the brewery, 14524 Smokey Point Blvd., Ste. 1. Whitewall will feature eight short-run beers, including two sour ales, three barrel-aged imperial brown ales with a different adjuncts and three versions of its anniversary barleywine. Barrel Aged Beer Festival: Arlington’s Skookum Brewery is taking its barrel-aged Breakfast of Crows to the second Barrel Aged Beer Festival at The Copper Door, 12 N. Ale Spike working on brewhouse: Chris and Lyna Pepper, owners of Stanwood’s Ale Spike taproom, are building a brewhouse in a business park near the Camano Island airfield. Chris Pepper said that they’ll be brewing their own Ale Spike-branded beer to put on tap. Brewing in the new facility should begin later this spring.
