Three local students were recently honored with Marysville Rotary Community Service Recognition Awards.
Cameron Code-Muck and Eleanor Wilde are both juniors at Marysville Pilchuck High School and cadets with the Marysville Navy Junior ROTC Quil Ceda Battalion. Each teen volunteered more than 25 hours in December alone.
Their service activities included Color Guard, Providence Regional Medical Center’s Festival of Trees, the Rotary’s annual auction, and free child care for military kids during command functions.
Code-Muck also worked many hours on a drive for the Marysville Food Bank.
Wilde also collected and shopped for Christmas gifts to give families in need through the Miracle on State program.
Caleb Acton, of Marysville Mountain View High School, is part of Hope Crew, through which he has interacted each week with homeless individuals in Everett and Seattle. He helps provide food, clothing and supplies, accumulating more than 100 hours of community service.
Each teen received a certificate and $100 from Les Schwab.
