We asked readers to tell us what they love about their moms. Kids from 17 to well over 70 entered The Herald’s Mother’s Day contest. The winner received a $100 gift card to Renee’s Contemporary Clothing in Everett. But there were many other heartfelt stories. You can find all of them here.
Daughter: Michaela Benson, Marysville
Mom: Rhonda Snyder, Marysville
My mom, my breath, my inspiration. You’ve been there through the good — the bad — held my hand when times were hard. You listened when I needed you. You’ve given advice that has changed my life, and gave me new perspective — you, Mom — you have kept me going through it all.
The pride in our family shines through you. Your caring nature shows through your soft hazel eyes. The amazing mother you’ve become shines through your daughters, and inspires me to be my best.
It hasn’t been easy, we’ve had it hard. But through it all, you — my mother — have strengthened us, and watering the roots when they were dry. Nothing compares to the work you’ve done. Nobody compares to the mother you are. No one has inspired me as much as you.
Thank you, Mom, for being the best you can and encouraging me to be the best I am. I love you!
