Snohomish Education Foundation awards $165K in scholarships

The Snohomish Education Foundation this year awarded more than $165,000 in scholarships to 118 graduating seniors from AIM, Snohomish and Glacier Peak high schools.

New this year were memorial awards for late teacher and coach Tuck Gionet and for Karen Richards, a retired occupational therapist for the school district who died of cancer in 2016.
Since 1996, the Foundation has awarded over $1.8 million in scholarships to Snohomish School District graduates. The public is welcome to give donations to existing scholarships or establish new scholarships in honor, memorial, by organization, family or alumni groups or under other categories.
