Motorcyclist killed in collision near Snohomish

SNOHOMISH — A motorcyclist was killed after a head-on collision with a pickup truck northeast of Snohomish on Saturday.

The crash was reported around 3 p.m. in the 3300 block of 183rd Avenue SE.

The age and hometown of the motorcycle rider were not immediately available, according to a press release from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office Collision Investigation Unit is examining the circumstances of the crash.

Its preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was designed for off-road use and was in the oncoming lane when it collided with the pickup truck at the crest of a hill.
