The Cedarcrest softball team handed defending 3A state champion Redmond its first loss of the season, beating the Mustangs 10-9 in a non-league game Thursday.
It snapped a 32-game win streak for Redmond, which had allowed just 15 runs all season prior to the loss.
Cedarcrest is closing in on its fourth straight Cascade Conference title. Heading into Monday’s contests, the Red Wolves (13-2 overall, 10-0 Cascade Conference) held a three-game lead over second-place Archbishop Murphy.
