EVERETT — The Mayor’s Cup is staying at Cascade High School.

Michael Purl rushed for 275 yards and three touchdowns and the Bruins rolled to a win over Everett in the Battle of Broadway.

The prolific Cascade rushing attack accounted for 311 yards, with six total touchdowns (Purl three and one each for Michael Doran-Kunkel, Daniel Erikkson and Julian Thomas).

Everett (0-3) rallied with two rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, and three overall, but couldn’t find a way to stop rival Cascade (3-0).

Jemyre Reed caught six passes for 131 yards and Jeremy Reed finished with 81 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Seagulls.

Everett mayor Cassie Franklin presented the winning team with the Mayor’s Cup trophy for the second time.
