Editor’s note: The Player of the Year and All-Area teams were chosen by The Herald sports staff based on coach recommendations, season statistics and first-hand observations.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Chloe Seelhoff, jr., F, Glacier Peak

COACH OF THE YEAR

George Dremousis, Mountlake Terrace

Dremousis took over a struggling program that was coming off back-to-back one-win seasons and guided the Hawks to a 5-3-1 record this spring in his first season at the helm. The Hawks’ five wins during this abbreviated spring campaign matched their total from the previous three seasons combined.

FIRST TEAM

Chloe Seelhoff, jr., F, Glacier Peak

Seelhoff, a University of Washington commit, scored 12 goals and added seven assists to help lead the Grizzlies to a 7-1-1 season.

Kaitlyn Manalili, jr., F, Shorewood

Manalili recorded 10 goals and six assists while teaming with her twin sister to lead the Thunderbirds to an 8-1 campaign.

Jersey Heiss, sr., F, Arlington

Heiss, who was The Herald’s 2019 player of the year, followed her program-record 30-goal junior season with 11 goals and two assists this spring.

Taylor Campbell, jr., F, Archbishop Murphy

Campbell totaled eight goals and eight assists to help lead the Wildcats to an unbeaten 7-0-1 season.

Morgan Manalili, jr., MF, Shorewood

Manalili netted 10 goals and added four assists while teaming with her twin sister to lead the Thunderbirds to an 8-1 campaign.

Abi Varghese, sr., MF, Glacier Peak

Varghese recorded nine goals and seven assists to help lead the Grizzlies to a 7-1-1 season.

Jordan Bartlow, sr., MF, Arlington

Bartlow totaled seven goals and seven assists for the Eagles.

Kayla Soderstrom, sr., MF, Snohomish

Soderstrom provided four goals and seven assists while helping lead the Panthers to a 6-3 campaign.

Maddie Seelhoff, sr., D, Glacier Peak

Seelhoff, a University of Montana signee, helped anchor a defense that allowed just five goals all season. She helped lead the Grizzlies to a 7-1-1 campaign.

Kate Sprink, jr., D, Glacier Peak

Sprink provided three assists and helped anchor a defense that yielded just five goals all season. She helped lead the Grizzlies to a 7-1-1 campaign.

Natalie Hawkins, sr., D, Jackson

Hawkins recorded four goals and six assists, while also helping anchor a defense that allowed just five goals all season. She helped lead the Timberwolves to an unbeaten 6-0-2 campaign.

Tayla Peterson, jr., GK, Lake Stevens

Peterson posted six shutouts and allowed just four goals all season while helping lead the Vikings to a 7-1-1 campaign.

SECOND TEAM

Bree Nichols, sr., F, Snohomish

Nichols scored nine goals and added two assists to help lead the Panthers to a 6-3 season.

Maia Lowell, sr., F, Jackson

Lowell netted eight goals and added three assists to help lead the Timberwolves to an unbeaten 6-0-2 campaign.

Taylor Nelson, jr., F, Monroe

Nelson scored nine goals and provided six assists to lead the Bearcats.

Abby Kyles, sr., F, Kamiak

Kyles netted nine goals and added one assist for the Knights.

Natalie Cardin, fr., MF, Mountlake Terrace

Cardin scored 10 goals and provided six assists. She helped lead a program coming off back-to-back one-win seasons to a breakthrough 5-3-1 campaign.

Kaelyn Fernandez, jr., MF, Jackson

Fernandez totaled six goals and three assists to help lead the Timberwolves to an unbeaten 6-0-2 season.

Delaine Polly, sr., MF, Lake Stevens

Polly netted five goals and added one assist to help lead the Vikings to a 7-1-1 campaign.

Mimi Currah, sr., MF, Shorecrest

Currah, who has signed to play Division II soccer at St. Edward’s University in Texas, provided one goal and three assists for the Scots.

Madison Pardee, sr., D, Archbishop Murphy

Pardee anchored a defense that allowed just four goals all season and helped lead the Wildcats to an unbeaten 7-0-1 campaign.

Lauryn Ewing, sr., D, Jackson

Ewing helped anchor a defense that allowed just five goals all season. She helped lead the Timberwolves to an unbeaten 6-0-2 campaign.

Jordan Cagle, sr., D, Lake Stevens

Cagle helped anchor a defense that yielded just five goals all season. She helped lead the Vikings to a 7-1-1 campaign.

Ashlyn Cheng, sr., GK, Jackson

Cheng posted five shutouts and helped lead the Timberwolves to an unbeaten 6-0-2 season.
