Archbishop Murphy’s Class 2A top-10 showdown with Northwest 2A Conference foe Sedro-Woolley on Friday has been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols, according to Wildcats athletic director Cassie Snell.

The cancellation came on Sedro-Woolley’s end, Snell said.

“We’re searching for a (new opponent),” Snell said. “We don’t know how likely that is, but we have our feelers out. We should know by Thursday if we’re going to be able to fill that date.”

At least nine prep football games involving Snohomish County teams have now been canceled due to COVID-19-related protocols this season.
