EVERETT — J.J. D’Orazio hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning and the Hillsboro Hops beat the Everett AquaSox 8-4 in a Memorial Day game at Funko Field.

Gary Mattis added a three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the game away for the Hops.

Tyler Locklear had an RBI single and Axel Sanchez added a two-run triple as the AquaSox took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning.

But Everett (23-23) could only push a single more run across on an RBI groundout from Sanchez in the bottom of the fifth.
