EVERETT — Spokane grabbed a four-run lead after a wild first two innings and the Indians cruised to a 9-6 win over the Everett AquaSox on Tuesday night at Funko Field.

After Spokane plated three runs in the top of the first inning, the AquaSox responded with a grand slam by Walking Cabrera in the bottom of the inning to go up 4-3.

But the lead was short-lived as the Indians scored five runs in the top of the second inning on three RBI singles, a bases-loaded walk and a fielder’s choice groundout to take an 8-4 lead the AquaSox couldn’t overcome.

Gabriel Gonzalez and Cole Young each added solo home runs for Everett (50-47, 16-15 second half) in the loss.

Nic Kent went 2-for-5 with a home run and Braiden Ward had three hits for Spokane (47-49, 14-17).
