Mill Creek apartment fire injures one man, displaces three residents

MILL CREEK — An early morning apartment fire in Mill Creek displaced at least three residents and sent one man to the hospital Saturday, South County Fire said in a news release.

The fire was first reported at 2:15 a.m. Saturday at The Ardent apartments in the 1100 block of Mill Creek Blvd.

When fire crews arrived, flames were shooting up the side of the two-story building and the injured man was outside, the release said.

The injured man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, and his injuries appeared to be non life-threatening. No one else was injured in the blaze, the release said.

The fire was under control in 30 minutes and South County Fire received assistance from Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue. Fire damaged four apartment units. Support 7 and Red Cross assisted the three displaced residents.

South County Fire said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
