ARLINGTON — Following a five-hour standoff Thursday morning, deputies took a man into custody on allegations he shot at his neighbor’s house east of Arlington.

Around 3 a.m., a 43 year-old-man reportedly fired at his neighbor’s house in the 23200 block of 115th Avenue NE, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. No one was injured.

The man barricaded himself in his house, police said. A large police presence filled the area as a SWAT team worked to get a search warrant.

Around 8 a.m., after a judge approved the search warrant, witnesses reported the man tried to escape from the back of his house, sheriff’s spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said.

Shortly afterward, deputies detained him.
