GIRLS BASKETBALL

4A District 1-2 tournament (winner to state, loser out)

Lake Stevens 59, Bothell 52

ISSAQUAH — The second-seeded Vikings clinched a state berth, led by a combined 33 points from Keira (20) and Noelani Tupua (13). Lake Stevens (16-6) will face Glacier Peak for fifth place 9 a.m. Saturday at Snohomish High School.

Glacier Peak 64, North Creek 49

KIRKLAND — The Grizzlies earned a state berth by knocking off North Creek.

BOYS BASKETBALL

4A District 1-2 tournament (both to state)

Mount Si 70, Arlington 64

SNOQUALMIE — The fifth-seeded Eagles (18-6) fell to No. 1 seed Mount Si in the semifinals despite Leyton Martin’s 42 points and 16 rebounds. Jake Willis added 10 points for Arlington, which will play Woodinville for third place 3 p.m. Saturday at Snohomish High School.

Glacier Peak 60, Woodinville 30

SNOHOMISH — The Grizzlies, seeded second in the tournament, moved on to the championship game. GP (20-2) will face top-seeded Mount Si, 7 p.m. Saturday at Snohomish High School.

2A District 1 tournament (loser out)

Archbishop Murphy 80, Burlington-Edison 79

MOUNT VERNON — The Wildcats kept their state hopes alive with a triple-overtime thriller over No. 3 seed Burlington-Edison. Archbishop Murphy (11-13), seeded No. 7, will face top-seed Lynden 7 p.m. Saturday at Mount Vernon High School for the district’s final state playoff spot. Lynden (23-1) suffered its first loss of the season in Wednesday’s championship game.

1B District 1 tournament (both to state)

Neah Bay 83, Tulalip Heritage 57

SEQUIM — The second-seeded Hawks (19-3) fell to No. 2 Neah Bay in the tournament semifinals. Tulalip Heritage will play No. 4 Summit Classical Christian School for third place 3 p.m. Saturday at the Muckleshoot Community Center.
