Colt Emerson

The shortstop went 9-for-17 (.529 batting average) at the plate while hitting two home runs and four doubles. The first-round pick in the 2023 draft drove in four runs and walked three times while striking out just once as he compiled a 1.718 OPS.

This week’s nominees

Freuddy Batista

The catcher and designated hitter posted a .462 on-base percentage, finishing the week with six hits, three walks, a double and a .300 batting average.

Anthony Donofrio

The outfielder hit .300 last week with a homer and two doubles in just three games, slugging .800 and recording a 1.164 OPS.

Brandon Eike

The first baseman batted .353 last week while hitting two home runs and a double. The 23-year-old drove in three runs and finished the week with a 1.186 OPS.

Ben Hernandez

The relief pitcher saw action in three games last week, pitching 5 1/3 innings without allowing a run. A second-round pick by the Kansas City Royals in 2020, Hernandez struck out seven batters and walked only one while giving up two hits.
