A snow white interlude

Clinton resident David Welton captured this image of snow falling just a week before the first day of spring. He said he thought it as going to be the first winter he’s lived on South Whidbey that went by without snowflakes covering the landscape, but then conditions aligned to bring a brief moment of white splendor. The snowfall accumulated on the trees, bushes and the ground but melted away an hour later.
