MARYSVILLE — DJ Karl led a trio of Warriors in double figures with a game-high 19 points in Edmonds-Woodway’s victory over the Tomahawks.

Grant Williams scored 11 points, Will Alseth added 10 and Andreas Simonsen chipped in four points, five assists and six rebounds for the Warriors (1-3 overall, 1-1 league).

Rodney Perez netted 18 points, Xerxes Myles-Gilford had 12 and Shane Nelson added eight points and eight rebounds for Marysville Pilchuck (0-4, 0-2).

SULTAN — Toby Trichler scored 16 of his game-high 24 points in the second half as the Turks bested the Bears in their Emerald Sound Conference opener.

Eli Trichler netted 13 points and Riley Knapp added seven for Sultan (2-1, 1-0 league).

Max Bieber led Bear Creek (2-2, 0-1) with 23 points.

MILL CREEK — Trey Hawkins made three free throws with 3.4 seconds left to put Jackson in the lead and the Timberwolves held off the defending Class 2A state champions Lions in a non-league clash.

Hawkins finished with 18 points, including 11 from the free-throw line. Ryan McFerran scored a team-high 19 points, Drew Pepin had 11 and Henry Johnson chipped in 10 for Jackson (3-1).

Anthony Canazles poured in a game-high 31 points to lead Lynden (2-1).

Arlington 48, Snohomish 47

ARLINGTON — Kailee Anderson’s 3-pointer with 2 seconds left lifted the Eagles past the Panthers in a tight Wesco 3A/2A battle.

Anderson finished with 10 points. Samara Morrow netted a game-high 18 points and Katie Snow provided 14 for Arlington (3-0 overall, 2-0 league).

Siena Capelli scored 15 points, Lizzie Allyn had 12 and Catherine Greene chipped in 10 for Snohomish (0-3, 0-2).

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Fran’shay Wright scored 11 points and the Chargers won a defensive battle against the Hawks in Wesco 3A/2A play.

Max Struss added six points off the bench for Marysville Getchell (1-3 overall, 1-1 league).

Anais Castillo netted a game-high 12 points and Alexa Brock chipped in six for Mountlake Terrace (1-3, 0-1).

Finley Wichers scored 13 points and Indira Carey-Boxley added 10 for Edmonds-Woodway (3-2), which received points from 10 different players.

Kiawana Calkins, Stella Baumgart and Kylea’na Rosario each had three points to pace Marysville Pilchuck (0-6).
