Awesomely bad ’80s cartoons

A Sunday story about hot trends of the ’80s inspired me to revisit some of the cartoons I watched as a kid. Awesome then, awesomely bad now. Check out the intros to:

“G.I. Joe”: Because knowing is half the battle.

“Jem”: It’s truly outrageous.

“She-Ra”: She’s the princess of power.

“He-Man”: He has the power — and it comes from his chiseled jaw and the size of his immense neck.

Also check out these less hokey but still memorable intros from other kids shows: “Fraggle Rock,” “3-2-1 Contact” and “Reading Rainbow.”
