Plenty of resources for scrapbookers

Preserving treasured memories through scrapbooking has become one of the most popular crafts around, and for a couple of years we’ve been wondering how to present it in Craft Corner.

The number of tools, supplies, instructional resources and services available is so vast that we could easily feature a scrapbooking-related project every week for years and still not exhaust all of the options.

We decided that the best way to go is to offer a comprehensive look at local instruction and supply outlets, as well as online sites, magazines and books dedicated to scrapbooking.

And crafters of all persuasions may be delighted with what they’ll discover when browsing through some of the magazines and other resources dedicated to scrapbooking. Many of the items – such as stickers, rubber stamps, decorative papers, themed embellishments and tools – make welcome additions to other craft projects.

We begin with a list of local outlets for scrapbooking supplies and instruction.

Note: If you do a local search for scrapbooking instruction and related services, you may get some wrong information. We came up with more than a dozen listings and called each one, but only three were accurate. The rest, including a fashion boutique and a stonemason, were really surprised by our call.
