Rieu and orchestra to visit Seattle

Andre Rieu and his 55-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra return to Seattle as part of Rieu’s continuing quest to make classical music accessible to all.
The Dutch violinist famously tours the world selling out concert halls and stadiums, sometimes earning scorn from traditionalists but more often earning praise from his legions of fans.
The latest concert is a “Celebration of Music Tour.” Rieu say his concerts are odes to waltzes and polkas and bring out the joy in romantic ballads and other beautiful melodies. He’s also expected to celebrate the holiday season during the concert.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Key Arena, 305 Harrison St., Seattle.
Tickets range from $75 to $139, plus service charges. Buy them at ticketmaster.com or call 800-745-3000.
