A barn can be a cold place in the winter. That’s the biggest reason Snohomish’s Spada Farmhouse Brewery is moving its taproom from the turn-of-the-century barn off Spada Road to a warmer and comfier location in downtown Snohomish.
This past weekend was the final two days that the brewery will pour beer at the barn. John Spada, owner and head brewer at Spada Farmhouse Brewery, is moving the taproom to a building at 106 Union Ave. in Snohomish. The taproom will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Like the barn, there will be eight taps of Spada’s sour and farmhouse ales and a guest tap. Spada said they will also keep the vintage furniture and aesthetic and will offer pizza from a neighboring business.
Spada said he’d like to eventually open another location in the rural setting near the brewery’s location off Spada Road, but he has no timetable on when that might occur.
