Camano girl, 15, in intensive care after fatal crash

CAMANO ISLAND — A 15-year-old Camano Island girl remained in intensive care Monday at Harborview Medical Center after Thursday night’s crash near Hanstad Road.
The girl was one of three people injured when the van they were in collided with another vehicle on Highway 532 west of Stanwood. The van’s driver, a 45-year-old woman, and another passenger, a boy, 11, remained hospitalized in Seattle Monday, listed in satisfactory condition.
Michael S. Rossner, 71, of Camano Island, died at the scene. Washington State Patrol troopers believe his sport utility vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with the van. The crash investigation continues.
