EVERETT — An Everett man who suffered major injuries in a crash Monday on Evergreen Way has died.
Around 5:45 a.m. Monday, Jose Lopez Rodriguez was driving north in a Honda Accord on Evergreen Way and trying to take a left turn into the Walmart parking lot, Everett police officer Kerby Duncan said. He crashed head-on with a southbound Chevy pickup.
Lopez Rodriguez was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with life-threatening injuries, Duncan said. He died at the hospital. He was 36.
There were no signs of impairment and the Chevy driver, in his 30s, was cooperative with investigators, police reported.
