Outlines of a deal between the House and Senate may be only hours away.
Heard that one before?
I’ll ratchet down the optimism. Still there’s a chance ‘news’ may emerge later today from the state House of Representatives. There’s been little news coming out of that chamber since early in the 30-day special session.
With only seven scheduled days left, something’s got to give if the Legislature hopes to pass a tax package and budget before time expires. As of now, the Senate and House are not expected back on the floor until Friday.
