The Snohomish Garden Club recently awarded grants totaling $3,000 to eight applicants for their 2018 projects.

Grant recipients were Machias Elementary School, Emerson Elementary School, Delta Rehab (Snohomish Chalet), Cascade View Elementary School, Cascade View Elementary PTA, Snohomish High School, Dutch Hill Elementary School and the Centennial Middle School Gardening Club.

Scholarships also were awarded at the May event to Sydney Gowen, a graduating senior from Glacier Peak High School, and Tessa Rugg, who is graduating from Snohomish High School. A continuing education scholarship also was awarded to Christina Cameron, a 2017 recipient from Glacier Peak High School and current University of Washington student.
