Sultan man identified as victim in Skykomish River drowning

GOLD BAR — Authorities have identified a fisherman who drowned Saturday in the Skykomish River near Big Eddy.

Bryan E. Rose, was 54, of Sultan, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled an accident.

Rose was in a boat that capsized east of Gold Bar, according to police. Another man in the boat made it to shore.
