Two local teens will perform with the “best of the best” at the National Association for Music Education event Nov. 25-28 in Orlando, Florida. It’s the second consecutive year each teen has been chosen for the highly selective groups.
Emily Ovall, a senior at Snohomish High School, was chosen to perform with the All-National Honor Choir. A soprano, Ovall is a member of three choirs at SHS, including the advanced jazz ensemble Crimson Singers, the Treble Choir and advanced Symphonic Choir. She also sings with her church.
Kevin Pessoa, of Kamiak High School, plays bass trombone and will perform with the All-National Honor Concert Band.
